A group of key enterprises such as Triangle Group, Chengshan Group, Tianrun Crankshaft , Guangtai Airport Equipment , Huanghai Shipbuilding, Weida Machinery. Products involved in automotive, ship, motor, machine tools, robots，instrument and other industries.

Weihai has a number of national and provincial-level platforms such as National Comprehensive Sea Testing Site of Offshore, HIT Innovation and Pioneering Park etc.
