Located in Weihai High-tech Industrial Development Zone Science and Technology Innovation Town, the park covers a total area of 18 square kilometers. It is the only new industrialization industrial demonstration base in the field of national medical devices, the provincial high-end medical devices technology innovation center, and the brand park of shandong province.

Upon the completion of the park, the construction area of various types will reach 5 million square meters, and the industrial scale will reach more than 250 billion yuan. Among them the construction and development zone has more than 60 enterprises such as Wego Group, Haibo Xiangsu and Kangboer Bio, with a total construction area of 400,000 square meters and 27,000 industrial workers. In the key development area, the 1 million square meters of industrial park, with the supporting facilities such as schools, kindergartens, shopping centers funded by the high-tech industrial park management committee are being built. Now, 300,000 square meters of factory buildings and supporting facilities have been built, more than 30 newly introduced enterprises, and 10 enterprises have been put into production, such as Neopro diagnostic reagent, Huamai minimally invasive instrument, and Hengpu medical materials. In the reserved area, 577 acres of industrial land which will be reserved as sufficient space for the future industrial development.

In January 2018, it was awarded the National New Industrialization Demonstration Base (Medical Devices) by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is the only national-level industrialization demonstration base in the field of medical devices. In 2019, it was awarded as provincial medical device innovation and entrepreneurship community and Shandong Brand Park. In 2020, the output value will be about 60 billion yuan, with about 30,000 industrial workers.
