The park is located in the Nanhai New Area, one of the key marine economic zones in the Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula, with a total area of 2.2 square kilometers. The construction of the park has begun to take shape and the infrastructure of roads, water, electricity, heating and communications is complete. It mainly develops the research and development, production and sales of graphene and characteristic carbon materials as raw materials, and promotes the development of graphene downstream products enterprises.

Weihai Nanhai Carbon Co, Ltd, a leading enterprise in the park, settled in the Graphene Industrial Park in 2016 with a registered capital of RMB 120 million. It specializes in the manufacture and processing of carbon materials. In June 2016, Weihai Nanhai Carbon Materials Science and Technology Research Institute was established. The company is committed to the research and development of carbon materials technology, and has introduced more than 30 experts at home and aboard. Now it has a number of independent intellectual property nights. At present, the energy storage reactor bipolar plate project with an annual output of 2 million square meters has been completed and put into operation. The high-purity graphite project with an annual output of 20,000 tons and the high-purity graphene project plant with an annual output of 200 tons have been completed and equipment installation will be carried out soon.
